Above the grudge: Katie Couric's Office Style

Todays post is inspired by Katie Couric's upcoming interview and magazine spread in Harpers Bazaar. This office space is for the digital maven. No loose paper or sticky notes in view. The grudge work is on someone else's desk.

First things first-- that desk. Williams Sonoma Home carries an uncanny look alike to Mrs. Courics (anyone know if it is the same one?) with mirrored trestle legs for $1,250.

I could not find any major retailer selling the globe but an online search yielded several great alternative. I'm personally partial to the atlas figure - lends it self to both philosophical and literal appreciation.

The clock was another hard to exact match item. Here are some alternatives.

Things Remembered, with personalized message on base $40

Seiko $54
On the desk caddy, I'd save my money and find something acrylic rather than glass like this one at Office Depot. Just be sure to use all white supplies like in Katie's office.
I found this Italian leather chair on Overstock. The price is a bit sticky at $360.99 BUT remember everything ships for only $2.95 regardless of size or weight. Just move the cost of shipping into what you'd pay for a decent chair and it's not so bad.
